Declaration of Faith

We believe in the Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit; the Deity of Christ, the sole sufficiency of His atoning work of salvation for all who believe; supreme authority of Holy Scripture in all matters of faith and practice; the justification of the sinner by the grace of God through faith alone, and the priesthood of the whole Church whereby every believer has direct access to God the Father through the one Mediator, Jesus Christ.

Associate Pastor Todd Trowbridge

Todd was born and raised in Santa Cruz California. He attended Santa Cruz High School and Cabrillo before enrolling at Christian Heritage College (now San Diego Christian College). During his time at CHC, Todd met Rachel. The two were married in May of 1997. While in San Diego, Todd worked for Youth For Christ as a Campus Life Area Director, as well as Director of City Wide Events. He has been serving at HSCC since September of 2002. He is currently serving in the area of Youth Ministry, and Administration at the church.Todd and Rachel have 3 amazing children. Faith, William and Andrew.

Associate Pastor Shayne Wessel

Shayne is the Associate Pastor for Children, College and Young Adults. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and raised in St. Louis and Kansas City, Missouri, with a brief stint living in the foothills of north central Montana. After serving for seven years as a Community Life Pastor at a new church plant in Kansas City, in 2009 Shayne and his family were called to Santa Cruz to partner with the team at High Street Community Church to help develop the ongoing life of this congregation. Shayne lives with his wife Suzanne and two daughters, Aurielle and Aurora. He loves to travel, eat good food and talk about life, the universe and everything.
